Perfect Fried Chicken

Ingredients

- 1 whole frying chicken, cut into pieces (or the equivalent of pieces of your choice)
- oil (for frying)
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon accent seasoning
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon accent seasoning
Recipe
- 1 try to use a deep fryer if you have one- heat the oil to 350 degrees.
- 2 combine the water, tablespoon of salt and 1/2 t accent.
- 3 put the chicken into this marinade and let sit for 30 minutes (or longer if you start early).
- 4 in one bowl, combine the egg and milk.
- 5 in another bowl, combine the flour, 2 1/2 t salt, pepper and 3/4 t accent.
- 6 coat the chicken in the flour mixture, dip in the egg mixture, then coat again in the flour mixture.
- 7 drop the pieces about 3-4 at a time into the hot oil and fry for about 12 minutes.
- 8 do not crowd the oil.
- 9 remove to paper towels in a collander and drain.
