Knock Off Fried ( Baked ) Chicken

Ingredients

- 3 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 skinless chicken breasts
- 2 skinless chicken thighs
- 2 skinless chicken drumsticks
- 1 can defatted chicken broth, save any extra,using only enough to coat baking dish
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 in a large bowl whisk egg whites, worcestershire sauce and a pinch of pepper, set aside.
- 3 in another bowl combine the crunch coating ingredients.
- 4 roll the chicken pieces in the egg mixture then in the crunch coating, coating well pour enough of the chicken broth to coat the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish place chicken in dish, cover with waxed paper.
- 5 bake for 10 minutes.
- 6 remove the wax paper.
- 7 return to oven and bake until golden brown, 10- 15 minutes more- add more broth if too dry on bottom of pan serve with favourite sauce.
