Pancho Villa Stew

Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced cooked ham
  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 3 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (7 ounce) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans pinto beans, liquid reserved
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Recipe

  • 1 cut sausage into 1/2 inch pieces.
  • 2 in a slow cooker, combine all ingredients and stir well.
  • 3 cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours.
  • 4 serve with buttered flour tortillas.
