Hawaiian Chicken Wings With Pineapple Blue Cheese Dip

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken wings, separated at joints tips discarded
- vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Recipe
- 1 combine cornstarch, flour, soy sauce, sugar, eggs, green onions, garlic, sesame seeds and salt in resealable food storage bag. mix thoroughly.
- 2 rinse chicken; pat dry. add to cornstarch mixture. toss to coat. marinate 2 hours.
- 3 heat 2 inches oil in a deep fryer or deep heavy skillet. fry chicken pieces, a few at a time, 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown and no longer pink in center, turning to brown evenly. drain on paper towels.
