Ginger Cream Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves shallots
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled,seeded,and chopped

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in lg pan; saute shallots.
  • 2 add wine and chicken broth; warm through and reduce heat to simmer.
  • 3 add whipping cream and simmer gently a few more minutes.
  • 4 reduce heat again, add salt, pepper, ginger, and lime juice; warm through.
  • 5 garnish with chopped tomatoes and serve.
