Grilled Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients

- 6 chicken legs
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated gingerroot
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped green onion
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
Recipe
- 1 heat soy sauce and sugar together until sugar dissolves.
- 2 remove from heat and mix in ginger, garlic, onions and sesame oil.
- 3 meanwhile, par-boil the chicken until almost done.
- 4 drain chicken and cool slightly.
- 5 pour marinade in a zip-lock bag or marinade pan.
- 6 add chicken and marinate overnight, turning occasionally.
- 7 grill until heated through and skin gets a little crispy.
- 8 remaining marinade can be boiled and served with the chicken.
- 9 the chicken can also be broiled in the oven.
