Grilled Teriyaki Chicken

Total Time: 24 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 chicken legs
  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated gingerroot
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

Recipe

  • 1 heat soy sauce and sugar together until sugar dissolves.
  • 2 remove from heat and mix in ginger, garlic, onions and sesame oil.
  • 3 meanwhile, par-boil the chicken until almost done.
  • 4 drain chicken and cool slightly.
  • 5 pour marinade in a zip-lock bag or marinade pan.
  • 6 add chicken and marinate overnight, turning occasionally.
  • 7 grill until heated through and skin gets a little crispy.
  • 8 remaining marinade can be boiled and served with the chicken.
  • 9 the chicken can also be broiled in the oven.
