Marinated Artichoke Tomato Sauce

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup marinated artichoke oil
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 6 whole marinated artichoke hearts
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 chop the artichoke hearts.
  • 2 pour the can of crushed tomatoes, artichokes, artichoke oil, chicken stock in a pot on high heat.
  • 3 add the garlic and italian seasoning.
  • 4 bring to a low boil and then reduce to a simmer on low heat.
  • 5 allow the flavors to meld together and the sauce to reduce down for 1 hour.
  • 6 add salt and pepper to taste as needed.
