Pan Glazed Chicken With Basil

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 3 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 (4 ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil

Recipe

  • 1 preheat broiler and set rack six inches from heat.
  • 2 sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt and pepper.
  • 3 spray a broiler pan with cooking spray.
  • 4 add chicken; broil 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 5 turn chicken over; broil an additional 6 minutes or until chicken is done through.
  • 6 meanwhile, in a small saucepan, stir together vinegar, honey and basil and heat through.
  • 7 remove chicken from broiler and place on serving plates, pour sauce over top.
