Mexican Fried Chicken

Total Time: 4 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 lbs broiler chickens, cut up
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 mash garlic with 1/2 teaspoon.
  • 2 salt until a paste.
  • 3 rub chicken pieces with all the garlic mash.
  • 4 arrange in a shallow single layer glass dish.
  • 5 sprinkle the lime juice tabasco sauce,and onion over top.
  • 6 cover and chill at least four hours.

  • 16 turn chicken.
  • 17 cook covered five minutes.
  • 18 uncover and cook 10 minutes until done.
  • 19 drain on paper towels.
  • 20 sprinkle with salt while warm.
