Mom Florences Turkey Pot Pie

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped leaves and all
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup flour or 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 3 cups turkey breast, chopped
- 1 cup peas and carrots, frozen
- 2 cups green beans, frozen
- 2 cups potatoes, cooked cubed
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 2 pie crusts
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 with pam saute onion garlic and celery until limp.
- 2 in saucepan whisk flour and stock ,bring to a boil
- 3 cook until thickened add herbs and spices
- 4 add frozen veggies
- 5 add sauteed veggies
- 6 add turkey
- 7 fold in
- 8 preheat oven to 425
- 9 put into bottom deep dish pie shell
- 10 top with other pie crust
- 11 brush with egg sprinkle salt on top
- 12 bake 30 minutes or until browned.
