Mom Florences Turkey Pot Pie

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped leaves and all
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour or 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 3 cups turkey breast, chopped
  • 1 cup peas and carrots, frozen
  • 2 cups green beans, frozen
  • 2 cups potatoes, cooked cubed
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 2 pie crusts
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 with pam saute onion garlic and celery until limp.
  • 2 in saucepan whisk flour and stock ,bring to a boil
  • 3 cook until thickened add herbs and spices
  • 4 add frozen veggies
  • 5 add sauteed veggies
  • 6 add turkey
  • 7 fold in
  • 8 preheat oven to 425
  • 9 put into bottom deep dish pie shell
  • 10 top with other pie crust
  • 11 brush with egg sprinkle salt on top
  • 12 bake 30 minutes or until browned.
