Orange Rosemary Baked Chicken

Total Time: 4 hrs 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 whole chicken, rinsed and patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 rub chicken with butter then the rosemary, salt, pepper and paprika.
  • 2 place in a baking pan.
  • 3 sprinkle with 1/4 cup minced onion.
  • 4 blend flour with 1/2 cup orange juice and then slowly mix in the remaining orange juice. drizzle over the chicken, and pour the rest in the pan.
  • 5 place the remaining 1/4 cup onion into the cavity of the chicken.
  • 6 bake covered at 200 f for 4 hours, basting occasionally.
  • 7 uncover and bake at 350 f for an additional 30 minutes or until tender.
