Honey Chipotle Chicken

Ingredients

  • 10 chicken drumsticks
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 -3 chipotle chile in adobo (depending on how spicy you want it)
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 sauce:.
  • 2 sweat the onions in butter until soft and translucent in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • 3 add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
