Make Ahead Honey Lime Chicken

Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken tenders
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple rings
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle chicken with garlic salt.
- 2 in large skillet brown in oil.
- 3 drain pineapple and save juice.
- 4 add one fourth of the pineapple juice to skillet.
- 5 cover and simmer 6 to 8 minutes until chicken is golden.
- 6 remove chicken.
- 7 add honey, lime juice, soy sauce, cornstarch and remainder of pineapple juice.
- 8 bring to boil.
- 9 cook and stir until thick and clear, about 1 minute.
- 10 remove from heat and allow to cool.
- 11 place chicken, pineapple rings and sauce in freezer bag.
- 12 label and freeze.
- 13 to serve: thaw in fridge.
- 14 heat until sauce is hot and bubbly and chicken is heated through.
