Paper-wrapped Chicken

Ingredients
- 1/2 chicken, cut into 12 pieces
- cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon light soya sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dark soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 1 tablespoon ginger juice
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Recipe
- 1 get grease-proof paper and cut into 18cm by 18cm 12 square pieces of papers.
- 2 marinate the chicken pieces with seasoning 1 for 15 minutes.
- 3 brush 1 side of the each paper with oil.
- 4 place a piece of chicken at one corner of the paper.
- 5 fold up this corner to cover the chicken.
- 6 then fold the sides to cover the chicken as well.
- 7 fold the remaining corner down and tuck into the pocket to make a package.
- 8 repeat for the rest of the chicken pieces.
- 9 heat oil in a saucepan for deep-frying.
- 10 when the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium-low.
- 11 place in the packages and fry for about 5 to 7 minutes.
- 12 remove and drain the packages off excess oil.
- 13 serve hot.
- 14 the packages are to be open by the diners themselves.
