Oyster Stuffing

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup finely diced celery
  • 3 teaspoons butter
  • 1 cup drained, chopped oyster
  • chicken stock or water

Recipe

  • 1 in a large pot melt butter over medium heat.
  • 2 add all ingredients except bread and saute for 10 minutes.
  • 3 add bread crumbs and begin to toss with a fork, slowly adding liquid of choice until stuffing is just moist but not soggy.
  • 4 stuff the bird.
