Homemade Bbq Chicken With Vegetables

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs chicken (use any that you like)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce (healthier soy sauce)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup frozen corn

Recipe

  • 1 pre heat oven to 350.
  • 2 brown chicken in olive oil in a skillet.
  • 3 put chicken in 13 x 9 baking dish, no need to grease.
  • 4 saute onions, green peppers and celery until tender.
  • 5 combine ketchup, water, honey, tamari sauce, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • 6 add to vegetables and bring to a boil.
  • 7 pour over chicken.
  • 8 cover and bake for 25 minutes.
  • 9 sprinkle with corn and bake 25 minutes longer.
  • 10 make sure chicken is cooked thoroughly and serve.
  • 11 enjoy.
