North Coast Brussels Sprouts

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb brussels sprout, trimmed
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb mushroom, sliced
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place brussels sprouts in a saucepan with the chicken stock and cook until just tender, then drain and keep warm.
  • 2 in a heavy skillet, heat butter and oil, add mushrooms and shallots and sauté slowly until vegetables are softened.
  • 3 add brussels sprouts and heat through.
  • 4 add salt and pepper to taste.
