Knock Off Bourbon Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 large chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons minced onions
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger (i used dried pieces)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chili pepper flakes
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 coat bottom of a deep skillet with olive oil and heat.
  • 3 add chicken, garlic, onion, ginger, cumin and paprika to hot pan.
  • 4 cook until chicken is cooked thru and golden brown.
  • 5 add in soy sauce and brown sugar and simmer until sauce thickens. if sauce gets too thick add some water a little at a time.
