Lemon Cream Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth for vegetarians)
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 3 large shallots
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • fresh parsley, for garnishing

Recipe

  • 1 mince shallots. melt butter in pan, then sautee shallots over medium heat until translucent, but not browned. about 2 minutes.
  • 2 pour in chicken broth, simmer over medium-low heat until reduced to about half a cup. about 10-15 minutes.
  • 3 pour in heavy cream, simmer over medium-low heat until sauce thickens. about 10 minutes.
  • 4 mix in lemon juice and lemon zest.
