Lemonade Chicken

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh mint or 1/4 teaspoon dried mint flakes
  • 6 bone-in chicken breast halves (about 4 pounds)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large resealable plastic bag, combine all ingredients except chicken.
  • 2 save half of the marinade in a small bowl in the refrigerator (covered).
  • 3 add the chicken to the bag, seal and turn to coat.
  • 4 refrigerate overnight (turning occasionally).
  • 5 drain and discard the marinade.
  • 6 grill, covered, over medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with reserved marinade.
  • 7 grill 5-10 minutes longer or until chicken juices run clear, basting and turning serveral times.
