Mirj's Oven Bag Figgy Chicken

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 large chicken, cleaned (we also skin ours)
- 1 1/2 cups fig jam (you know what, just toss in the whole jar)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 375 degrees f.
- 2 clean (and skin, if preferable) the chicken.
- 3 place it in the oven bag.
- 4 add the fig jam.
- 5 add the salt and pepper.
- 6 tie a knot in the bag.
- 7 moosh the jam around until the chicken is completely coated.
- 8 place in a roasting dish.
- 9 roast in the oven for 1 hour, turning the bag over halfway through.
- 10 remove the chicken from the oven and let rest for about ten minutes.
- 11 cut open the bag, remove the chicken and cut into serving pieces.
- 12 top with the juices in the bag.
