Mirj's Oven Bag Figgy Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 large chicken, cleaned (we also skin ours)
  • 1 1/2 cups fig jam (you know what, just toss in the whole jar)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 375 degrees f.
  • 2 clean (and skin, if preferable) the chicken.
  • 3 place it in the oven bag.
  • 4 add the fig jam.
  • 5 add the salt and pepper.
  • 6 tie a knot in the bag.
  • 7 moosh the jam around until the chicken is completely coated.
  • 8 place in a roasting dish.
  • 9 roast in the oven for 1 hour, turning the bag over halfway through.
  • 10 remove the chicken from the oven and let rest for about ten minutes.
  • 11 cut open the bag, remove the chicken and cut into serving pieces.
  • 12 top with the juices in the bag.
