Mushroom Sauce

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomato packed in oil, drained and chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry wine or 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 add mushrooms. cook stirring occasionally, 4 minutes or until browned,.
  • 3 add shallot, cook 2 minutes.
  • 4 add dried tomatoes, thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper.
  • 5 add wine or chicken broth. cook and stir, scraping up brown bits from pan.
  • 6 add cream. bring to boiling.
  • 7 simmer, uncovered 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
