Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomato packed in oil, drained and chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 cup dry wine or 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup whipping cream
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
- 2 add mushrooms. cook stirring occasionally, 4 minutes or until browned,.
- 3 add shallot, cook 2 minutes.
- 4 add dried tomatoes, thyme, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper.
- 5 add wine or chicken broth. cook and stir, scraping up brown bits from pan.
- 6 add cream. bring to boiling.
- 7 simmer, uncovered 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
